O2 has announced that from March it will offer home phone to new and existing home broadband customers. The launch is a continuation of O2’s strategy to get itself at the heart of UK households and follows the successful launches of its broadband and joggler products.
The home phone service, which is available exclusively to its broadband customers, will allow O2 to further boost its share of the UK broadband market – but customers will need a working BT landline.
Together, O2’s home phone and broadband packages offer a convenient, high quality option, representing the best customer experience and value for money in the market. Customers will benefit from O2’s award winning home broadband service (with great connection speeds and a line check before sign-up), free 24/7 UK-based technical customer care and a simple set-up process.
Two home phone packages will be available to O2 Home Broadband customers. ‘Evening & Weekend’ costs just £9.50 per month and offers unlimited calls to UK homes on evenings and weekends. ‘Anytime’ is available for £12.50 per month and offers any time, unlimited calls to UK homes, 0845/0870 numbers and landlines in over 20 international countries*. Together O2 Home Broadband and home phone will offer some of the most competitive pricing in the UK. O2 mobile customers will be able to get O2’s Standard broadband package and Evening & Weekend phone package for just £17 per month, including line rental.
Both packages include a wide range of services including ‘Hide My Number’, ‘Last Caller ID’, and ‘Last Number Delete’. A number of other services including Voicemail, Call Waiting, Caller Display, Call Barring and Ring Back will also be available as Bolt Ons for an additional monthly fee.
