Video: Nokia now lets you edit your predictive text dictionary [What curse words will you invent?]

Sentences like “I’m going to shiv on your ducking mother’s chest if you ever talk to my girlfriend like that again” will never need to be read again thanks to Nokia’s new “Custom Dictionary” application. Released earlier today on Nokia’s Beta Labs website, Custom Dictionary, as the name implies, allows you to add, edit, and share the swear words and street slang you’ve spent countless weeks and months putting inside your mobile phone. Unlike Apple, who makes you manually type in your curse words, and Google, which censors not only the Chinese, but potty language as well, Nokia is letting those who love to use George Carlin’s “Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television” to their heart’s content.

Say you just got a new Nokia, and you don’t want to teach it how to curse like a sailor all over again, simply install “Custom Dictionary” on your new Symbian handset and transfer your modified dictionary. Accidentally added a word to your T9 list that your stupid mobile phone keeps on inserting into text messages even though you hit the asterisk key with furious force each and every time said unwanted word pops up on the screen? Just take that mother ducker out of there with Nokia’s “Custom Dictionary” application and stop getting so stressed out over stupid shiv.
