ELSE, the company behind that fancy UI – ELSE INTUITION, is joining the LiMo Foundation, which as you can see refuses to die.
For the “endeavor” ELSE has aligned its UI/platform (whatever that “align” means) with the LiMo Platform specifications to leverage both the code contributions from other member companies and get inputs from the operators and handset manufacturers within the LiMo Foundation. On the other hand, developers will be able to make apps for ELSE devices, though at the moment there are no that many of them around. In addition, the fresh new UI could eventually help LiMo get some wings and eventually compete with Android. To be fair, I don’t see that happening, but you never know.
