Gotta love promotions on new hardware. It was only a few weeks ago that Fido launched the BlackBerry Curve 8520 for $50 on a 3-year contract. Not bad for a device that packs the typical BlackBerry full-QWERTY keyboard, 2MP camera, microSD expansion to 16GB, 3.2″ display, WiFi and more… Still, I kind of wondered how long it would take Fido or one of its retailers (*cough* FutureShop *cough*) to hit us with a price break.
Turns out it wasn’t that long.
Matching the price that WirelessWave launched the 8520 at, FutureShop now has the Curve 8520 up for grabs at $29.99 on the same Fido 3-year contract. Keep in mind, this is a promotion and will run until March 11th, so if you’ve had your eyes on it, you may want to pop into a FutureShop sooner rather than later.
