Tech news site Techradar has posted up some news saying that the HTC Legend is going to be available in the UK later this month, from e-tailer Clove Technology. The price has rolled in at £320 exc. VAT (sim-free), which comes to around £376 inc. VAT.
Interestingly, this is ahead of the April release date of the device, so it’s not clear if your pre-order now will be enough to secure you the device this month rather than next month – for example, I checked out eXpansys who are quoting 6th April, and a (cheaper) £369.99 price!
Either way round, this will be the first Android 2.1 device available from a UK (r)e-tailer – but that doesn’t include the Operators in the picture! I’ve not heard any rumblings as to which Operator is getting the Legend (remember its big brother the HTC Desire is coming soon also), and neither have the Techradar guys – although they suggest that it’s going to be Vodafone that snags it.
At any rate, whichever ®e-tailer/Operator takes the Legend will be stocking a seriously alluring device, with the latest Android OS – that should translate to decent sales I’d say!
