The rumors are flying like crazy that we’ll see a CDMA version of the Google superphone. Now, Digitimes is reporting that Verizon is already getting Nexus One units and Vodafone will soon be getting its share.
Of course, Digitimes is kind of spotty on the hot scoops, but they do get it right occasionally. The odd thing is that there’s no indication that Verizon will be selling the phone directly, as it should be sold through Google’s online phone store. I’m going to split the difference: I’d say HTC is sending out devices but these will arrive at Google’s warehouses to be shipped out. We’re also hearing a March 23 Verizon release, so stick around for our coverage of CTIA next week for any confirmation.
