While talking with the Rogers guys last night about their Android My Account app, it came up that they’re also sneakily soft-launching a BlackBerry version, which will also monitor minutes, data, and text message usage. The app also enables mobile payments once your bill comes in. Not bad at all! Rogers has been in the process of revamping their online My Account site, and this app is really the icing on the cake.
It’s a bit tricky to download My Account for BlackBerry: you need to launch the rogers.mobi WAP portal on a Rogers BlackBerry 8220 Pearl Flip, 8900 Curve, or 9000 Bold, do a search for My Account, click through on the link in the Games and Apps category, and you’re good to go. Again, if you’re packing any other kind of phone, you can still get all the same functions through that WAP site – My Account just happens to be a little shinier. So far, the only bug I’m finding is that the back key actually moves you backwards through the historical navigation (like in a browser), rather than up the tree as you would expect.
