HTC Incredible could hit Verizon in two weeks

You may want to hold on to your upgrade chips, as a new report says the HTC Incredible could hit Verizon stores in as little as two weeks.

No real confirmation but the folks at the Daily Tech said they have bulletproof information from a Verizon source, and it fits with all the leaks we’ve seen. If you don’t remember, the Incredible is aptly-named because it’s a sleek and powerful Android handset. It’ll sport a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, large capacitive AMOLED touchscreen, and all the connectivity options you’d expect from this type of device (WiFI, GPS, etc.). Think of it as a Nexus One that will sport HTC’s Sense UI.

Of course, the Incredible’s potential launch window will step all over the Nexus One hitting Big Red, which is rumored to be formally announced next week. I’ll go on record as saying the Incredible will handily outsell Big Red’s N1 because it will likely come subsidized and you’ll actually be able to play with it in stores before you buy it. Verizon will also be throwing its marketing weight behind the Incredible (the ads write themselves) and we all saw how this impacted the Droid’s sales.

Don’t feel too bad for Google’s “superphone” though because recent announcements with Sprint and AT&T mean it will be soon available on all four major U.S. carriers.
