Looks like the rumors were right, as Verizon Wireless has rolled out an application that gives BlackBerry smartphones unlimited Push-to-Talk capabilities for $5 a month.
The app is free to download but there’s the aforementioned service fee. It’s geared primarily at enterprises because you can make group calls with up to 50 participants, and there’s an online way to manage PTT contacts for the entire company. You’ll be able to access the Web browser and e-mail while on PTT calls and it seems like a useful tool for certain BlackBerry users. I’m not 100% which BlackBerry models this includes, but I’m requesting more information as we speak.
