The iPad has stirred up an air of feverish excitement in the geek world, as Apple prepares to unleash their oversized iPhone tablet this weekend. So, amidst all the coverage you’re going to see this week about iPad apps, iPad demographics, iPad this-and-that, we thought you’d like to know that pre-ordered iPads are already making the journey across the Pacific to find new homes in the US. We’ve gotten an email notifying us that Apple has started shipping their iPad tablet from warehouses in Shenzen, China.
The tracking number doesn’t give an exact arrival date, but does assure us that the device will being shipped on time and will arrive as scheduled. At the time of this writing, the iPad has just cleared the billing stage of deliver in China. There’s always the possibility that the iPad will arrive a little early, but we’re not going to get your hopes up for that.
