Just a few moments ago I noted a very unofficial OS for the BlackBerry Bold 9700. The update brought us up to 5.0.0.586, but yeah, the build was unofficial. If you’d rather get your hands on an official build, it looks like Bell has gone live with one.
Released to ‘enhance the user experience for Bell clients’, Bell is said to have very strongly recommended this update for their Bold 9700 customers. The update brings us to 5.0.0.545, and is available from the BlackBerry Software Download Site.
As always, be sure to backup your device and take all necessary precautions before you proceed. If you do install, be sure to let us know of any major changes or improvements in the OS!
