A quick pricing update here for anyone that may be looking to pick up a Bold 9700 on TELUS, off contract. Originally, the 9700 hit TELUS at $249.99 on a 3-year deal and $649.99 off contract. Typical for sure, and as the weeks and months have passed we’ve seen pricing drop down to $149.99 on the 3-year term. Today, it looks like the off contract pricing has dropped to $499.99. According to my math that’s a sizable drop of $150 from the previous price point. Nice!
In comparison, Rogers and Virgin have the 9700 up for $549.99 off contract, Bell sells it for $599.99, and the good folks at WIND Mobile are pushing it out the door at a modest $450.
Bell, Rogers, Virgin, WIND, TELUS, I love it. Competition in the Canadian wireless market is sure growing. Let the price wars continue.
