In Canada, province-wide bans on the use of handheld devices while driving have been popping up left-and-right… and with good reason. I don’t need to expand on the dangers of driving while texting or talking while you have one hand on the wheel, and another on your phone. Not cool. With that in mind, more and more carriers have been pushing Bluetooth devices out the door to allow for handsfree-use of the very devices they sell to their customers.
Case-in-point today is TELUS. They’ve just launched the Jawbone ICON Bluetooth headset for purchase online, or in-store. The ICON gives you 4.5 hours of talk time, weighs only 8 grams, and comes in 6 different colors/styles. There’s also 7 custom earbuds and 1 adjustable earloop in the box, to give you a safe and secure fit. The ICON also opens the door to Jawbone’s ‘MyTALK’ web service. Via MyTALK you can customize and tailor the ICON’s performance to your liking.
The Jawbone ICON is available right now at TELUS, for $119.
