As we said in January, Google’s Nexus One is coming to France. At that point we thought SFR will be the first carrier to offer the Android-powered smartphone with Bouygues Telecom probably joining the part — after all, they are a member of the Open Handset Alliance.
Well, Bouygues almost got it. A dedicated page on the country’s third largest mobile operator talks about the Nexus One, though “forgets” to mention when exactly it will be available for purchase. I doubt interested users will have to wait for too long, but just in case you’re super impatient, the carrier suggests alternatives such as the HTC Tattoo, HTC Hero, Samsung Galaxy, Samsung Spica, Acer Liquid, LG GW620 and Huawei U8230 — all of which also run Android.
The good news is that Bouygues plans to subsidize the Nexus One by bundling it with several plans. In other words, you won’t have to pay couple of hundred Euros upfront to get your hands on the first mobile phone signed by Google. 😉
