If you’re like us, you’re probably in pins and needles as you wait for the iPhone Dev Team to finalize their iPhone OS 4.0 jailbreak method and push out a consumer-grade application. Granted, the iPhone OS 4.0 isn’t due to hit the iPhone until later this year (Summer), but the sooner we get confirmation that the Dev Team has a working button-click version of their jailbreak ready to go live, the sooner we can breathe easy. Today, the Dev Team’s MuscleNerd has tweeted what amounts to a milestone on the way to a fully working jailbreak for OS 4. Breathing easier yet?
In the tweet, MuscleNerd confirms that they’ve released their first iPhone 4.0b1 jailbreak solution for developers of jailbroken iPhone apps. Furthermore, it’s limited to iPhone 3G and Mac computers only. This latest release is far from the easy-to-use jailbreak applications we’re used to seeeing, but it does bode well for having such an application on tap as soon as Apple looses iPhone OS 4.0 on the iPhone-using world.
Keep on keeping on, iPhone Dev Team!
