I think you can file this one under ‘handy to know’, just in case you were ever to need it… the Met Office (Weather Forecasters in UK) have now released a Mobile-optimised version of their website, following the launch of their iPhone App.
The central premise here is that the App is quick to load, and (obviously) should display correctly on the pixel-challenged screens of most Mobile devices. When you arrive at the site, you are greeted by some nice simple layouts, through which you can find the weather near you.
Now, as to the accuracy of the forecasting, well that’s another thing – the clue really is in what kind of service it is (‘forecasting’), as to whether you can rely on the data. Generally the Met Office is pretty good with predictions, so I’d be inclined to trust it.
If you are lucky enough to have an iPhone then you can hit up the link below and download the Met Office App – on the other hand, you could just look to above you (if you are outside) 🙂
