In another sign that Palm’s future as an independent company isn’t very bright, it appears that RadioShack is dumping the ailing company’s handsets from its stores.
The online RadioShack Palm Store is completely devoid of the Pre or Pixi and there are reports that some retail stores are not carrying the Sprint version of the Pre smartphone. It sucks for Palm but it’s not much of a surprise because the webOS devices haven’t exactly been selling like hotcakes. Plus, with all the buyout rumors going around, I can’t honestly recommend people buy webOS devices until we have a clearer understanding of where the platform is going.
