Nokia Beta Labs has released a new beta version of Nokia Messaging for Social Networks app, which now works on popular QWERTY phones – the E63, E71 and E72.
And while I’m not sure you will be able to use all of the features that are included in the touch-enabled version (contextual homescreen widget for example), you will be able to keep up with your buddies on Facebook and Twitter.
The application goes beyond simple reading of tweets and status updates — it also allows commenting, SMS-ing, emailing and even calling straight from the client. Moreover, there’s the option to share your current location and POIs with the world (via GPS), upload photos and videos, search, save Facebook invites to your calendar, manage events and so on.
In a nutshell, it’s an app every Nokia owner (with compatible device) should have installed on his phone. And with the addition of the three popular messaging phones, we’ve no doubts Nokia Messaging for Social Networks will soon be running on millions of handsets. Better yet, as soon as it leaves the Beta Labs, I can easily see it pre-installed on new phones sold…
