What we have here are two unannounced devices, each coming from a different company.
First, let’s talk about the LG GD550. It’s a solid mid-range slider with features that include a 5-megapixel camera, quad-band GSM radio, and we guess Bluetooth, media player and a microSD memory card slot.
The other device comes from Philips and yes it’s another member of their Xenium family. Marked as X712, this clamshell also rocks a 5-megapixel camera, dual SIM capability and again probably Bluetooth, some media playback software and a memory expansion slot.
And that’s about all we have at the moment. No pricing information, no when or where you’ll be able to get these two phones. However, I doubt many of you will be able to give Philips’ device a try. Their phones usually end up in Russia, China and some other parts of Asia. As for the LG handset, it’s a different story and we may see the GD550 hitting the Western hemisphere at some point in the future. Stay tuned…
