The Sony Ericsson X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro, announced at Mobile World Congress, may be finding their way to Rogers sometime in May or June, according to tipsers, and will run $49.99 and $69.99 on contract, respectively. Both are Android 1.6 handsets with 2.5″ QVGA display, GPS, Wi-Fi, and 5 megapixel cameras with flash.
Rogers has had the X10 out for a little over a week now, and seem ready to launch into the next generation already. After my brief time with the X10, I hope the software on the Mini and Mini Pro are considerably more polished, although the slide-out keyboard on the Pro will fix the issue of a finnicky on-screen keyboard. Certainly the form factor and reasonable price points will attract more than a couple of users. Although it’s tiny, the keyboard on the X10 Mini Pro is surprisingly usable – take a look at our hands-on just to see what I mean.
