Gameloft unveiled its quarterly results. As they are not a handset maker, I won’t go into details — I’ll just emphasize the key points:

  • Consolidated sales reached 33 million EUR, which is 7% more from the last year (30.8 million).
  • Europe represented 37% of the company’s sales, North America 34% and the rest of the world 29%. By comparison, the figures for full-year 2009 were 39%, 32% and 29%, respectively.
  • Gameloft has launched 63 games in the AppStore since 2008.
  • Apple represented 21% of the company’s sales in the first quarter of 2010!

The game publisher ends the press release with hopes to take advantage (make money) of other platforms and smartphones, including those made by Palm, Samsung, Nokia and HTC.

Apple’s iPad is also on Gameloft’s list as a promising platform for which it plans to release a number of games. More precisely they say iPad will “allow Gameloft to continue its diversification on other platforms and should provide the company with interesting relays for growth.”
