The Acer Liquid e is set to become the first Acer handset on North American soil. Packing Android 2.1, a 3.5″ (480×800) display, 5MP camera with 20fps video, a speedy 768MHz processor, 512 MB ROM, 256 MB RAM, microSD expansion to 16GB, 3G, WiFi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and more… this nifty little handset could make quite a mark when it arrives.
For what it’s worth (and a bit of a side note) the Acer Liquid e also features something called ‘Spinlets’. Unique to the Liquid e, Spinlets allow you to browse music or share it with your friends via your social network of choice. Find the music, and spread the word… that’s what Spinlets are all about.
Of course, other great features of Android 2.1 will be found including live wallpapers, enhanced browsing, improved voice controls and deep social networking integration… but that’s almost a given.
So what’s pricing going to be like on the Acer Liquid e? Well, in Canada it’s looking like Rogers will set us up at $374.99 off-contract. That is, if you believe the internal Rogers screenshot, captured by our friends at MobileSyrup.
Take this for what it is at the moment… Rumor. The addition of the Acer Liquid e to the Rogers lineup should make for an interesting decision for some… Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, or Acer Liquid e?
