Palm, er, HP, er… I mean… heck, Palm AND HP fans should take note of May 16th. That’s the date when AT&T will begin to sell the Palm Pre Plus! If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on a GSM version of Palm’s latest hardware, your time is coming. It’s been a heck of a wait, and I’m really curious to see how the response is on this one. Should be interesting to see how launch day goes.
The May 16th launch date was pegged some time back, but it looks like various sites are now confirming this date. So, while I’d still chalk this up as rumor… it’s a very solid one. Engadget has confirmed the date, as to have my buds at PreCentral… So it’s looking like May 16th is the day.
In addition to the Pre Plus, AT&T will also launch its 3G MicroCell nationwide on the same day. Mark your calendars. The last half of May is shaping up to be a good one. Palm Pre on AT&T, and international iPad goodness… Oh yeah.
Note: Of course no pricing details have been found yet, but with Verizon pumping out the Pre Plus at $30 on a 2-year contract… The bar has been set at a mighty low price point. We’ll see.
