We’ve already talked about Gresso‘s Grand Monaco luxury handsets — two of them to be more precise. Now the company has introduced a new members to the family – Sport Series, touting them as the first phones made out of carbon leather, which is used in the race cars.
Apparently, manufacturing of such leather is a complicated and expensive process, involving the specially curried leather that is reinforced and decorated by the carbon coating. The end result is a material that’s several times lighter than steel and aluminum.
The phone’s keyboard, on the other hand, is manufactured from the thinnest polished steel coated with titanium superalloy that makes its surface mirror-black and resistant to the mechanical damages. Numbers and letters are cut out with laser, while navigation keys are made out of surgical steel boasting “accurate and perfect shapes.”
Finally, the models – basic Grand Monaco Sport series is represented by two models: black ceramics – black leather, and metallic ceramics – metallic leather. Of course, each of the two can be further customized with different materials (chic crocodile or carbon leather, titanium, high-tech ceramics) and by engraving the initials or some other personal inscription.
