After the 360, Vodafone will apparently be adding a new Samsung’s LiMo device to its portfolio. The rumor says it will be marked as the I8330 H2 and will be launched in time of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Specs wise, we’re talking about quite a capable phone which specs include a large touchscreen, 1GHz CPU (Snapdragon?), 8-megapixel camera that can take HD video, GPS, WiFi and HSPA connectivity and Bluetooth.
And that’s about all we have at the moment. Not a single image of the upcoming device is available at the moment. As soon as we hear something new on this front, you’ll be the first to know.
And before I let you go, I would like to add my two cents to the whole LiMo movement. It could survive the competition from Android, if it manages to get the proper support from the likes of Vodafone. To be fair, LiMo Foundation has quite a few major operators as its members, but we don’t see them aggressively pushing LiMo-powered handsets. Japanese NTT DoCoMo is more of an exception, than the rule. Is Vodafone ready to follow? We’ll definitely keep our eyes wide open…
