Android fans on Telus may want to wait a few months before buying a new smartphone, as the gorgeous HTC Desire is rumored to be hitting the carrier in a few short months and it could be re-branded as the “Triumph.”
The Desire/Triumph is a very good device, as it’s essentially a Nexus One that’s made for carriers. The device has a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED display, will come with Android 2.1, 5-megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. It also has a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, so it should be able to blaze through apps, and it will be coming with HTC’s Sense UI.
Mobile Syrup is saying that the handset will hit carrier in the summer, with July or August as the likely launch month. Are you Telus users excited yet?
