The Bluetooth SIG announced the start of the second Bluetooth Innovation World Cup (IWC), calling on all interested parties to submit concepts for applications making use of Bluetooth wireless technology. This year’s focus is on applications in three categories: sports & fitness, health care, and home information and control markets.
Anyone can participate — submissions will be accepted through September 15th. Concepts will be evaluated based on a number of criteria, as you can find out for yourself from the competition website.
Finalist of each category will be presented at electronica trade fair in November 2010, and the official award ceremony will take place at ISPO 11 in February 2011, where the Innovator of the Year 2010 will receive a prize of $5,000, a Bluetooth Qualification Program voucher (QDID) worth an additional $5-10,000, and Bluetooth SIG marketing support…
‘nough said. If you have Bluetooth connected concept that is worth sharing (and eventually making a business out of it), hop over to Bluetooth SIG’s website for more information on how to participate in the IWC. Good luck! 😉
