Nokia has updated the Ovi Store client, which is now in version 1.07. You can grab the latest version by either updating the existing app or by going to store.ovi.mobi.
Here’s what’s new:
- Continuous pages for content lists a la Apple AppStore and/or Android Market. There is a new “Load more” link at the listings bottom clicking on which more items (apps) will be loaded.
- Search for a string inside a name. In the previous release, searching for “York” wouldn’t return results for “New York,” which was kinda stupid. Thankfully that’s fixed now.
- Updated category structures that reflect the changes in Ovi Store’s handling of meta data.
- The new client also seems faster (according to AllAboutSymbian), especially on the application pages.
In addition, the Finnish giant has also updated the Ovi Publish tool, improving the meta data (i.e. keywords, categories and other related information) associated with mobile content that’s found in the Ovi Store. For instance, now developers can add “mood tags” to their content, which is kinda neat… or not.
