Do you need motivation in order to complete such mundane tasks as taking out the garbage, washing your car, or calling your mother? Well, one would think people would get enough motivation knowing they completed a task that was absolutely necessary to do, but for the rest of us that need more motivation in life, it looks like there will soon be an app to help get us through such mind numbing tasks like cleaning the dishes.
EpicWin won’t magically do these tasks for you. Instead, it’ll reward you for completing chores on your to-do list with XP (Experience Points) for your character, which allows you to progress through the quest map and uncover rare items, similar to how a player would level up in an RPG (Role-Playing Game). Depending on the chore that is completed, your character’s stats will develop in regards to what is required for that chore. For example: Doing the laundry requires a lot of stamina, which is one of the stats you’ll level up if you complete the task. I wonder what I’d level up for listening to my girlfriend gab about her day at work?
What’s the point of completing chores to progress through a fictional quest to boost your stats and unlock items when you can’t show your friends how much you rule in a fictional world? Thankfully, Epic Win allows you to share your little achievements in completing daily chores through both Facebook and Twitter.
The app isn’t available yet and no price point has been released. I just hope it releases some time soon as I now refuse to do any more chores on my to-do list until EpicWin is released as I fear I’ll be losing out on precious experience points that can be better. Garbage Day is this Thursday EpicWin, so you better release before that or I’ll be knee deep in waste!
