Namco Networks has recently launched Learn to Fly on an array of mobile devices. The game sees you guiding an “enterprising penguin” who wants to show the world that its species isn’t gravity bound. There are five different slopes of increasing height to face, with the goal of staying airborne as long as possible. To advance, you must meet three of the four achievements on each ramp: maximum speed, highest altitude, distance traveled and flight time. Along the way, you will be making some money which you could use to purchase upgrades, such as gliders, rockets and fuel.
In a nutshell, we’re talking about a hilarious little game, which BTW is available for a range of platforms, including Java ME, Brew, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and Android. iPhone version is not on the list, but I assume that will change shortly — after all iPhone users play more games than any other phone owners.
To download it, simply check your carrier’s portal and take it from there. It should be available through all major U.S. mobile operators…
