Tour de France 2010 hits the AppStore

The world’s biggest bicycle race is getting its own iPhone game. Tour de France 2010 could be yours for just a buck (99 cents actually) if you click on a link below.

But I want to say few words about the game as well. It’s not yet another racing title, as it combines elements of real-time strategy, too. After all, you’ll need to pedal your way through so many miles that proper packing for each section is a must. You rider’s energy and exertion can be predicted and managed by utilizing data from previous Tours to accurately simulate your fitness levels.

There are 21 stages to complete, from sprints and testing time trials to highly-demanding mountain climbs, all of which are apparently faithfully recreated.

In total, you’ll race for almost 3,600km and there are no steroids around, when you need them the most. If this is your sport, there’s a link below… as I said at the beginning of this post. 😉
