The Cricket Wireless BlackBerry Curve 8530

The good folks at Cricket Wireless have announced the BlackBerry Curve 8530. The device will be available on their network Starting Friday, August 6th. If this sounds like something right up your alley, you can head over to Cricket and pre-order. The pre-order will save you $10, plus you’ll get free shipping of the device, right to your front door. Not bad at all.

The price? You’re looking at $279.99 for the 8530 (that’s including a $20 online discount). It took me a bit of time to stumble across the price. The Cricket website asks you for your ZIP code before they reveal any pricing details. After entering about 10 valid zip codes in areas that Cricket claims to have full service in, I was finally successful. All of my previous attempts resulted in error messages stating something to the effect of ‘we do not do new activations in this area’. So, my advice to you is to hit up Cricket, hit the pre-order button, and enter your zip code on the left. Do this to check availability in your area, y’hear!?

The Cricket Wireless BlackBerry Curve 8530 features the standard full QWERTY keyboard, a 2.0 megapixel camera with video capabilities, 3G, WiFi, microSD expansion, speakerphone, a 320 x 240 2.46″ TFT LCD display, and much more.

Mark your calendars, it’s coming, August 6th!
