For those of you awaiting the Samsung Epic 4G for Sprint, you might not have to wait much longer. Rumor is that the WiMax capable handset will be launching on August 11. The Epic 4G, in case you didn’t know, is a Galaxy S series handset from Samsung, one we covered quite a bit and got some hands-on time with last month. The Android handset features a Super AMOLED screen that offers rich colors and plenty of contrast, as well as excellent viewing outdoors.
Now, if you’re thinking of camping out or waking up early to grab the handset, word is that Sprint will be opening its doors at 8 a.m. sharp on August 11 in preparation for this handset’s launch. No word on pricing yet, but if the BlackBerry Bold 9650 and HTC EVO 4G are any indicators for Sprint’s high-end devices, we’d venture to guess $199.99 on a two year plan with data. Not too shabby.
