Ladies, ever wish you had a dress that doubled as your cellphone? No? I’m not surprised. I’ve never had any desire to wear a suit that had mobile phone capabilities… That said, if you’re a die-hard tech junkie of the female gender, and looking good while embracing the latest gadgetry is your thing… the dress I’m about to tell you about may be worth waiting for.
CuteCircuit, a fashion company located out of London has just released some imagery and a few details surrounding their upcoming M-Dress. You can check out the shot above. The dress is a black form-fitting number that will not only show off your curves, but it will answer your calls as well. All you need to do is insert your SIM card beneath the label on the back, and you’re off-and-running. The dress has built-in gesture recognition that makes sending and receiving calls a breeze… or in this case, as easy as lifting your hand to your ear to answer, and lowering your hand to hang up.
While the features of the phone appear limited at best (you’ll only be able to dial out to a few numbers, and only a few ringtone options will be available), we’ve learned there should be no ‘antennagate‘ issues with this one. The antenna is stitched into the bottom hemline of the dress. That said, it could be fun finding the proper places to put your hands to drop the signal. That would make for an interesting evening with your special lady, now wouldn’t it? 😛
Whatever the case, as soon as the M-Dress hits the market, don’t be surprised if you hear the phrase ‘Honey, I think your dress is ringing’ the next time you’re on the town.
Strange… but true. Look for the M-Dress to be available in 2011. Until then, you’ll have to keep answering your calls on your stinkin’ old mobile device. How boring.
