TuneWiki, the company behind the popular social music player, launched an iPhone game called Lyric Legend. Touted to “bring music discovery and interaction to a whole new level,” it’s (obviously) all about lyrics, letting players interact with the words of their favorite songs. As you progress to more advanced levels, you test your knowledge of the lyrics and game skills.
The game comes preloaded with three free songs from The All-American Rejects, Metric and Vampire Weekend, and you can buy additional two-pack songs for 99 cents from within the app. At the moment, Lyric Legend has more than 70 songs in the library, including songs from Coldplay, The Jackson 5, Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, No Doubt, Owl City, Queen, Rihanna, Taio Cruz and others — with more songs set to be added on a constant basis.
There are five levels of difficulty – you start off in beginner mode to get the hang of things, and then speed it up with more orbs and fewer hints to “prove you’ve reached expert status.” You can play by yourself or compete with up to four friends using Bluetooth Mulitplayer Mode.
Finally, high scores can be shared through Facebook, Twitter or email…
