iPhone Accessories come in all shapes and sizes. Some are cool, some are built well, some are functional, and some are crap. The iPhone case (they’re calling it a ‘cover’) I’m about to tell you about fits into those categories somewhere… I’m just not quite sure where. Maybe you can tell me.
The ARKHIPPO iPhone case pictured above (and video below) comes from the good folks at HaA Design. It comes to us claiming to be the fattest iPhone cover in the world… and I’m having a hard time building an argument against that statement. I mean, check it out! The thing is huge! (I wonder if it comes with a holster!?) 😛
While most will argue the thing looks at tad ridiculous, I have a feeling others may find it is not only pleasing to the eye (it does have a nice shape to it), but will view it as functional as well. After your iPhone is tucked away inside, like a Formula 1 driver tucked away inside the cockpit, the ‘cover’ can be used to stand your iPhone up in portrait or landscape orientations. Just please, oh please don’t try and walk around with this thing in your pocket.
Speaking from my own point of view, I could actually see myself using this thing as a simple stand when my iPhone was not in use. I’d have it propped up on my desk… however, any time a new call came in I’d feel like a bit of a tool holding the whole darn thing up to my ear. In the end, it’s probably one of those things I’d get a kick out of for the first little bit… but it would soon find it’s way to my treasure trove of accessories gone bad.
