If TELUS is your carrier of choice, and you’ve been waiting patiently for some movement on the BlackBerry Torch 9800 front… looks like things are finally moving forward.
If you take a quick pop over to TELUS, you’ll notice a brand new pre-order page for the 9800 has been setup. All you have to do when arriving at the page is fill out your name, email, phone and postal code, and a TELUS representative will call you back to setup your pre-order. Very cool.
Along with Bell and Rogers, TELUS is set to launch the BlackBerry Torch 9800 on September 24th (next Friday), so if you want to ensure the new vertical slider from RIM is on-hand and ready to go for you, better place your pre-order.
The Torch packs a 5 megapixel camera, HVGA capacitive touchscreen, 512 MB of RAM, 624 MHz processor, GPS, WiFi, HSPA 3G and more… oh, and of course, the device is a full QWERTY vertical slider. The whole display shifts up to reveal the full keyboard.
Pricing at all of Canada’s ‘Big 3’ carriers is rumored to be $199 on the standard 3-year contract. The last I checked, the carriers wouldn’t/couldn’t confirm this pricing, but don’t be surprised if that’s the going rate.
For more information on the pre-order head over to TELUS, or take a moment and read out BlackBerry Torch 9800 Review. It’s good stuff.
