Nokia Exec Mark Loughran Leaves for Pace

Another Nokia executive is leaving the company shortly after the news that CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo would be replaced by Stephen Elop of Microsoft. Additionally, EVP Anssi Vanjoki and chairman Jorma Ollila are also on their way out. This time, UK and Ireland managing director Mark Loughran is saying farewell as he heads for Pace.

Pace makes TV set-top boxes and Loughran will be heading a new division. PaidContent says Loughran will take on the role as “president of a new business division, Pace Enterprise.”

Obviously, there are big changes coming for Nokia as several of its long-time execs are no longer going to be part of the company. Whether this will be part of a mass exodus – if it doesn’t already seem that way given the big names leaving – remains to be seen. What I’m more eager to see is what Nokia will be producing next year under some new leadership, more so that Nokia has proclaimed that “it’s back.”
