Last week, the Samsung Galaxy Tab was made official by the Korean manufacturer and we’re told that it’s hitting all four major U.S. wireless carriers. The Android tablet hasn’t been priced, and released dates still aren’t official, but that hasn’t stopped Samsung from producing an ad that shows us just how the Galaxy Tab can be put to use.
You can use it to check your e-mail, browse the web, get GPS directions, check your weather and stock quotes and even read your favorite eBooks on it. All the while, Samsung emphasizes its portability — it fits in the back pocket! Wait a minute. Can’t you do all that stuff with your existing smartphone already?
If you’re still trying to decide between the Galaxy Tab or the Apple iPad for the holidays, check out our poll and brief comparison here. You can also find our thorough hands-on experience with the Android tablet, along with several pics of the device for your geeky pleasure, right over here.
