Growing up as I did, video games were a huge part of my childhood. From the Commodore 64, through the original Nintendo Entertainment System, and even through to today’s Wii, video games (especially the Mario series) have always been near and dear to my heart… and I suspect I’m not alone in that thought. With that in mind, I couldn’t help but think Mario and Luigi themselves would stuff their iPad into one of the cases I’m about to show you… that is, if they were real people, and they had iPads of their own.
Coming to us from Etsy (of course!), the Hooby Groovy store has a plethora of awesome retro iPad cases sure to please not only the 8-bit freaks, but the 16-bit gamers too. Made from high quality cotton, felt is used to play out the designs on these bad boys. A hook and loop tape keeps your iPad safe and cozy inside, while medium weight interfacing ads structure, and light weight wadding offers some padding to these glorious cases.
The price? You’re looking at $39.95 a piece for your choice of Goomba, 1-Up Mushroom and Super Mushroom. Not a bad price for such a unique item, don’t you think? If you spent hours upon hours of your life hunched-over and jamming those A and B buttons, me thinks this may be a natural pickup if your iPad is sitting next to you… Then again, maybe not 🙂 For more information or to pick up your very own, check out the Hooby Groovy store on Etsy right now.
