Canada, it’s time to let the BlackBerry Torch 9800 madness begin. Bell has launched their pre-order page, giving you the opportunity to order your BlackBerry Torch for a ship date of September 29th. Interestingly enough, if you’d rather just hop down to a Bell location, you will be able to pick one up in-store on September 30th.
My advice? If you want one really really REALLY bad, and believe in your heart of hearts that there’s going to be insane demand for the BlackBerry 6 powered beauty from RIM… go ahead and pre-order. If you’re on the other side of the coin, and want one but aren’t really that serious about it… stumble down to a Bell location on the 30th, and with any luck you’ll walk out the door with one anyway. Heck, you may even walk out with one before the pre-ordered devices arrive at their final destination! 🙂
Pricing? The Bell BlackBerry Torch 9800 will run customers $179.95 on a 3-year contract, $449.95 on a 2-year, and $549.95 on a 1-year. If you’d prefer to order the Torch off-contract, you can have one for $599.95.
All in all this is good news for Canadian BlackBerry aficionados, the Torch is starting to make its way across our fair country. Better yet that the launch date has been moved up a day to September 30th, last we heard was the device was going live October 1st.
So what say you Canada? You ready to light the Torch?

Note: In other Canadian Torch news, Rogers has dummy units arriving in-store (due for a September 27th launch), and TELUS has already gone live with their pre-order. It’s going to be good times north of the border for the BlackBerry Torch, real soon. Stay tuned for more.
