Vodafone unveiled two new own-branded handsets, one of them being an Android-powered smartphone.
Tho first of the two (feature phone – pictured on the right) is called Vodafone 553 and it’s a QWERTY keyboard-equipped feature phone for folks that like to text a lot. In addition, it also rocks a 2.8-inch touchscreen, 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, FM radio, pre-installed Opera Mini 5 web browser, Vodafone’s 360 People address book, media player and of course a microSD memory card slot.
The other device is Vodafone 945 and it’s an Android 2.1-powered smartphone with a 3.2-inch WQVGA capacitive touchscreen, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, 5-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth, 300MB of internal memory that is further expandable with microSD cards. It will be available in either black or silver.
Prices were not unveiled, but since we’re talking about Vodafone-branded products here, I doubt any of the two will break your bank. In terms of availability, you should be able to grab these phones within a month or so…
