Verizon Commercial Shows Off Droid 2, Droid X and Android Market

Verizon is pushing its Droid series once again in a new commercial that shows off the always expanding Android Market. In it, we see the Droid 2 and the Droid X, along with a free application called Lookout Mobile Security – a security app that lets you back up data, remote wipe a lost phone, or helps track your phone for you if it slips between the couch cushions by “screaming.”

Interestingly enough, the commercial ends with the phrase, “When there’s no limit to what Droid gets, there’s no limit to what Droid does.”

Perhaps there is no better proof of that tagline than with the liberties that Verizon has taken with loading up Android with bloatware or crapware. And perhaps it didn’t really consider the limitations it was putting on Android handsets whose default search engine is Bing. Ah well. See the commercial below for yourself.
