Google has released a Boutiques app for the Apple iPad and the program looks like it’s not related to Google at all. That’s a good thing.
Boutiques launched yesterday and it’s an online high-end fashion site that uses Google’s search know how to enable users to pick out their clothes. It focuses on women’s clothes right now and you can follow celebrities like Snooki and find out what type of shoes, bags and other stuff they like.
I downloaded the Boutiques Apple iPad app and I must say that it’s a gorgeous program. It’s easy to swipe left and right to find new celebrities and there’s an elegance to the design.
One of the beefs I have is that it’s a landscape-only app and this does give you a nicer layout but I prefer the option of being able to hold my device how I want to. We’ve heard from other Apple iPad developers that locking in to one orientation can make the app incredibly cheaper to produce.
So, check out the program if you’re interested in this kind of stuff, as it won’t cost you anything and it’s well-done for what it is.
