Maybe I’m not looking hard enough, but generally I’m not too impressed with the Cyber Monday sales that are available. The discounts seem so insignificant, and in some cases, completely non-existent. Telus, however, is going all-out and offering some really good deals today.
- LG IQ – $0 with a 1-year contract
- Nokia E71 in red – $0 with a 1 -year contract
- Blackberry Pearl 3G 9100 – $0 with a 1-year contract
- Motorola Charm – $0 with a 2-year contract
The BlackBerry 9100 is fantastic little phone, being OS 6-capable, compact, and a solid choice for the productivity-minded. The Nokia E71 won plenty of awards, and for all intents and purposes, still a solid choice (especially if you’re only locked down to a one-year contract). I found the Charm a little too blocky for my liking, but the LG IQ seemed like a very interesting choice for those looking for a heavy-duty work phone.
Free smartphones on a one- or two-year contract are pretty much impossible to find through the rest of the year in Canada, so I would encourage anyone shopping for a new phone to seriously take a look at Telus’ Cyber Monday offers over here. These deals are disappearing on December 3, so you’ve got a couple of days to jump on ’em.
