In the U.S., AT&T announced the Samsung Rugby II some time ago. In fact, it was way back in May. Some time has passed since then for sure, but I’m pleased to report that Canadians will finally have an opportunity to pick up this rugged flip device from Bell in the very near future.
MobileSyrup has reported that Bell is going live with the Samsung Rugby II on December 9th. If you’re not sure what day it is… the 9th is tomorrow. Pricing on the device is rumoured to be set at $99.95 on a 3-year contract, or off-contract for $299.95. Seems a tad expensive for me, and there’d be other options out there I’d rather throw one hundred bones at, but that’s just me.
The Samsung Rugby II is a ruggedized device, and meets Military Standard 810F Certification… so you can expect it to be drop, kick, and drop-kick proof 😛 It also features a 2.2″ internal display (at 240×320), 1.3″ external display, GPS, 2 megapixel camera, microSD expansion to 32 GB, and more.
Stay tuned for the official release from Bell.
