If you travel a lot, and carry your iPad with you from destination to destination, you’ll know how uncertain and stressful it can feel to leave valuable items unattended to in your room. Sure, some places will have a safe in the room, or perhaps behind the front desk… but if these options aren’t available, wouldn’t it be nice if you could lock your iPad down to thwart the unthinkable?
Thanks to the folks at Maclocks.com, you can now do just that. They’ve just released a brand new product called the ‘iPadLock’. With it, you can be sure your iOS-powered tablet is safe and secure, even when you’re not around.
How does it work? It’s fairly simple. The security case itself is made of a hard and durable plastic. On one side of the case is a security slot to which a security cable can lock. Attach the cable, and voila, your iPad is locked down and safe… that is, unless the would-be thief doesn’t mind damaging the device. Maclocks notes that the tablet can not be removed from the case without damaging the iPad in the process. Cool beans.
