Good news for those of you in the coverage are of Sprint/Clearwire’s WiMAX network. Sprint will be launching a WiMAX (they would call it 4G) enabled tablet at some point next year.
The news comes from the carrier’s president of business markets, Paget Alves, who missed to mention which company will make the device. Samsung is well versed with WiMAX, so we think the Galaxy Tab 4G is a likely option. However, there’s also Motorola and perhaps even RIM which are looking to bring their tablets to the Sprint customers. In that sense, Paget hinted they do plan to offer tablets running various operating systems…
And that’s about all we know at the moment. Hopefully, CES will bring us some additional information.
