One of the more enjoyable and fun puzzlers I’ve played in quite some time has released a special ‘holiday’ version, a la Angry Birds. I’m talking about ‘Cut the Rope‘ from Chillingo. The new, and very free app is titled ‘Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift’… and it’s worth a look.
The game plays exactly like the original title, however, things have been decorated and brightened up for the holiday season. The goal of each level is to get the candy into the mouth of our little green monster friend, Om Nom. You swipe your finger across the ropes maneuver the candy… it takes some thinking as you move through the game, but thankfully gameplay is quite intuitive. If you’re confused, don’t be, when you load this up and start playing, it will all make sense.
The game is surprisingly tricky and fun at the same time. The graphics and sound are quite good, and overall I have to give both the ‘Holiday Gift’ and original version of Cut the Rope two big *thumbs up*. In this new freebie, 25 levels are waiting for you to master them. C’mon, Om Nom is waiting and the adorable little monster just wants his candy. Cut those ropes and see to it that he gets what he wants!
