Fieldforce is a new application for the iPhone and iPod Touch that should ensure for an effective communication between coworkers in real time. Developed by MobileFlow, the app promises to “take business communication to the next level.”
I haven’t been able to try out Fieldforce myself, but from what I read it goes beyond standard two-way messaging to integrate more deeply into day-to-day activities. The trick is in combining the “power” of private and secure social networking so that mobile workers can coordinate their customer facing activities faster.
Users can easily invite other coworkers to form a private network, send status updates, share tasks and contacts, while customer information are being synchronized in the background via the cloud-based secure storage.
And it’s not just big businesses that can benefit from Fieldforce – even small teams can take advantage of fundamental CRM capabilities like a unified contact list, and to-do lists that are shared across the teams and tied to contacts.
Finally, thanks to the iPhone’s location capabilities, coworkers can “check in” at customer sites or team meetings and send notices such as tardiness alerts or other project updates.
